My older brother exposed me to Led Zeppelin, Grand funk, Traffic, James Gang, Steppenwolf and others. I was always moved by the heavier stuff. Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, then a few years later, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent etc.

At 10 or 11 my brother gave me Jimi Hendrix "Band of Gypsys". At the time that music was over my head. It is now one of my favorite albums.

luckily I had MTV/TMF (samething as MTV, but dutch) and later also: the internet! :D

During my teen years, disco was big, and punk was getting popular. Hard Rock and Metal were underground. I found out about bands from class mates. A friend in school from texas lent me Judas Priest Sad Wings of Destiny. That completely sealed the deal for me when it comes to music. Change my life forever. That and my first exposure to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.

At school I was called Ozzy Osborne (my last name) and wondered who he was talking about so I went and bought an Album... you know the round black flat things you young ones can't seem to fit in the CD player
