We were flat mates, and I guess we had fear of ruining the "Zusammenleben" or something.... We had to drink a few Becks in her room before we gave the step forward  ;)

Ok, schlaft gut ihr beide ;)
I only have the fear of losing my best friends because I tend to fall in love with my best friends relatively often...but you can't stop things like that. :)

that's psychology jargon..... :D I'm studying psychology and my first exam is in 18 days or so...

I'll try to explain......which will be hard because I all read it in German.........
Usually there is some kind of behavior which is regarded as "normal" by "everybody" in society. When you differ from that "normal" behavior, people will find you strange or will dislike you etc.
But if you usually act "normal", just like the rest of the society, this is like putting money onto a bank account. Now you come to a situation in which you just don't see any chance to act like the others do. Actually, theory says they would dislike you now because you are different. But as you have usually been "normal" in the past, they will grant you some kind of "credit"/"Kredit" although you are now acting "differently" and they won't dislike you that much.
Thanks for explaining! Now I see the point behind it.... (actually, quite a lot of people live, or at least try to live that way???)
I was just confused by the "Idiosyncratic" part of it..... :D

yes of course. That's social psychology. There are very few people who don't live according to the basic principles of social psychology. And that's the funny thing about this subject. :D
