You use hex a lot when programming, since addresses are most often in 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 bits.
And when a byte is made of 8 digits and a nibble of 4, hex suddenly becomes very convenient

i converted my IP address into Hex
but realised a piece of software did that for me
that software is USEFUL!! it tracks EVERY ip address coming into and out of my computer
hex is easier of course
but trying to remember the 5th letter of the alphabet is difficult
since i havent touched the alphabet since i was 6
