Mainly you can use hex for simplifying writing.

Instead of going like 11111111 bin, you just go FF hex

now iagmine you must write 235900443, which is easier, bin or hex??



You use hex a lot when programming, since addresses are most often in 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 bits.
And when a byte is made of 8 digits and a nibble of 4, hex suddenly becomes very convenient
