Yeah it is a legal requirement. If you don't show up for it, you can be arrested and put in jail. I have done it before, I find it interesting and educational, I just wish it happened at another time, not while I am on vacation.

Absolutely! I LOVE METAL, it's my passion, but I also enjoy and appreciate other form of music from time to time. though porcupine tree do have some good heavy riffs thrown in hear and there. And that does not hurt at all.
No, I won't find out until I get into the court room. I hope it's not a lengthy one. i also have a very good chance of not being selected.
I imagine that at your age you may not have been summoned for jury duty yet? Though you are of legal age, most people I know had not yet been summoned when they were your age, I hadn't been yet.

great bands that cant be defined or classified under one genre only .. i would also add Pain Of Salvation to these bands as being different in their music & lyrics .
Because I work in the news media, I may be considered a biased juror by the attorneys. That may get me rejected.

Another band that can be added to the list is Marillion. I don't like all of their stuff, but some of it is very interesting, and unlike any other band.

i highly recommend this band .. they might not appeal to everyone .. but they have some really interesting songs .. and i also find their lyrics great
what the plans for the vacation other than the jury duty selection
we are having a family gathering at my home on Tuesday, about 13 people. Lots of good food. We will go to the movies one day, and also to a very cool protected beach/bay one of the days. It's named Hanauma bay and it's a wildlife preserve. there's a lot of fish there and they swim right up to you and around you. it's always a fun place to go to. We are also going to a place named Sea Life Park. Also maybe some hiking.
