They tax the manufacturers here too, so they put the tax on the cigarettes to the smokers making them $6-7. Then add another $8 in tax.. Nobody smokes over here, there's a reason for it.

People don't care about that so much. They just don't want to be spending so much for one bloody pack of smokes. Now really only low income people smoke. Though, the cigarette cost seems to be the cause of that, especially for pack a day smokers...
