Alrighty, say there's a festival trying to be organized. Its main purpose being to be a festival different from all the other ones in the US that have loads of core bands. First time. But no one has any money to get it going and even a small, simple one needs about $1.5K.

So what do you do if a core band offers $400 just to be able to play?

If we did it very small it could be $700. The difference is neither Spencer nor I see a lot of core elements, and they said they'd "metal it up" and leave the core out. They backed out anyways, but.. still. If $400 could mean bringing in a decent headliner, I wouldn't mind ONE core band playing while people are showing up and getting beer runs sorted.

Especially seeing the other band who'd fit in that category would be decent, but it'd risk all the technical problems and nobody sitting through their set. It's a spot nobody typically wants and they offered $400 for it -.-

How core is this "core" band, are we talking someone like JFAC or As I lay dying type? If it pays enough to get the festival off the ground and brings in more money from attendees, then why not/
