We don't have an official language here. There has been a group pushing it to be English, but, other people have declared that as racist.
I don't see how putting the language that 99.9% of the population speak as the official language is racist though.

Personally I consider calling such minor things racist as demeaning to the term. It's not real racism to say the official language is English anymore than having Italian Italy's official language, people don't want the official language to be English because they hate those that don't speak it.
