I always tell people who plan to visit Hawaii to come in January, the best days of the year are in January. December can be very nice as well. And compared to places that are covered in snow, it's much nicer.

Cheers, I'm pretty lucky though. We're not in a rural area where theres much fuel for fires. Got a few friends that could be vulnerable though. One mate had his car packed and ready earlier this year, it was getting pretty close.
