This year Carmine got the lowest ticket he could find: $106 roughly. Sure, it's cheaper, but most of the tickets were in the $150-$200 range.

Not to mention you have to be careful on ebay because of possible fakes.

Yeah, I consider them mainstream because of popularity mainly in this factor. I don't listen to the radio so I don't even know what bands are played on there anyways. I just can't get into them at all.

fair enough. Everyone has different taste. I think maybe it's more my age, I first got into them when Show No Mercy was released and back then they were anything but mainstream. And yes they are a big name in Metal. You can find their T-shirts in the mall Hot Topic, but then again, even Korpiklaani is becoming mainstream in that way.

Well than and several months later. My point is, when it sells out and you decide you can't go, you can easily sell your ticket for what you paid for it.

Not to mention, most of my vacation days, and my travel money is already allocated to a family trip in June. If I'm lucky I can catch a good band or two while I'm there. That happened for me in 2006.

Yeah, I don't remember Korpiklaani's show here too well, but I do know I had to stay back because I kept being punched. I kind of see bands in a way, when it comes to shows, as the sort of crowd they drag in. I don't want to have a lineup I'm not overly into with the risk I'm going to end up having the toilet I walk into rammed into by some random kid who thinks it's funny... Which I read happened a lot in 2008 among other things.
