my bands had our next gig cancelled by the venue because we are too heavy and they're worried they can't control the crowd. i can't see the problem - we've played there several times before, had pits going with no incident, got along well with the owner (he was even in some of the pits)

I fear it has to do with recent crackdowns by liquor licencing authorities the last year or so. Wankers go glassing each other at the casino and nightclubs and gig and rock pubs get the blame.

and the checkout monkey at my local supermarket stuffed up and packed my tinned soups into the next persons bag. I'm not so fussed about the $5 i still got charged.
