I guess you're right. I do recall being sacred of the thought of one hitting us while I was visiting my grandparents. This was many many years ago.

I've gotten scares from them several times, only maybe a few of them produced actual tornadoes in my area
none impacting me, besides making me go in the basement a few times

a few of those times when my parents were out and I was taking care of my siblings, I imagined a tornado hitting the house and the storm killing my parents while they were out and I had to keep my siblings and myself alive
I have an active imagination I guess :o:D

they say tornadoes are more common during the afternoon but it's always at night seemingly when the dangerous storms come, I wonder why... coincidence?

Those type of shows are very interesting, and scary as well. My thought of those things happening, is not if, but when. Maybe next week, maybe 500 years from now. Who knows.

yea... like in 500 billion years or something the sun's going to die, I guess we're all doomed by then at least if we don't move to a planet revolving around another star :p

maybe it has something to do with the air currents, hot and cool air masses, which maybe have to do with the sun rising and giving heat, and they calculated afternoon to be the point of greatest likelihood of those masses not being happy with each other, I have no idea :D

Well by then me, my daughter my grandkids, great grandkids.... you get the point.

yea we'll all be long gone :p though I'm about 99.9999999% sure something will happen before then
