for sure. We don't get them here, well not the kind that you would get there. We get waterspouts, tornados from the ocean, but they are rare and not very strong.

I've seen one of those actually... when we were on vacation in Florida once...
it was way far off and not scary at all though, so it was pretty epic

I wouldn't care so much if it hit like Greenland or something, then at least it's an impact not directly on top of meI've sen one off shore, kinda cool to watch. When they hit land they can do a bit of damage, but mostly water damage.

Hurricanes are a much greater threat to us. And of course a Tsunami could hit us, that would be VERY bad.
well even if it did, it would have a huge global impact.
most tornadoes aren't actually very strong anyway
yea... a huge earthquake in the Pacific near you would be probably something like Indonesia in 2004
