I think maybe he's hoping it will leave less time to get into trouble, and maybe raise our education level closer to that in some other countries. Just my theory.
Well put. We the people (some of us) voted him in as president. We'll see how popular he is by the end of his 4 year term. I hope that for the right reasons (actual job performance etc.) he will be.
