I did have one job where we were allowed to drink at work but only on Friday afternoons when it was winding down for the week. I miss that job, they used to let me come in late if there was a gig on the night before.

Yeah, that would work well. These guys were really cool tho. If they knew I was going to a major gig like Cannibal Corpse or Kreator they'd just say 'see you whenever you make it in tomorrow.' They often said 'if you can't make it don't worry' if we weren't too busy but I'd usually try to go so I'd get paid, even if it wasn't for a whole day.
