nah its cos i have an operation in exactly 2 weeks time and having a cold/flu/other illness messes with the anaesthetic, and i dont really want to wake up in the middle of spinal surgery :S

the doctors got freaked out last time because i was up and walking in about 24 hours after having:

slicing my back open
my spine being pulled straight with some weird clamps
4 of my vertebrae fused
titanium plates attached to the fused vertebrae
titanium rods attached to the plates to keep my spine straight
then sewing my back shut

yea, mental prep is everything these days XD

that sounds like a complicated operation...
