hm, hoffentlich ist es nicht sehr seriös
Ist's. Deswegen.
and that's what they should adapt to, those kids who learn faster or slower... they need more classes available in schools so the smart kids aren't bored and the not so smart kids have extra help... or something along those lines... I just don't see why adding more school and taking time away from family and activities is a good idea, whether or not it'll help the nation compete better
Well, this problem is everywhere, the solution is the same, but the practical problem is: Who's going to pay for it?
We all know that teachers are (semi) public servants, thus paid by the State (federal?) and thus though tax money.
How strange it may sound, it's cheaper to have the same people work longer than to hire extra people for the same (extra) time.
And we have to economise everywhere!
Here in Belgium the federated states are now FORCED to economise in Education, something that has never happened before! In Flanders they were talking about a wage reduction of 1% for all teachers but that plan has already been abolished.
So... it is not easy with classes getting bigger all the time etc.
I'd have to say, I agree with your idea as such. Too bad it is undoable.
