From Germany to the USA, a sms cost 50 Cent, that´s okay.

I think he kept his American provider (which is kinda dumb when you are in a country for several months I had an Austrian provider when I lived in Austria, sms to the Netherlands went down from 77 cents with my Dutch provider to 22 cents from the Austrian provider)

That's why we had a French number when we were in France for like 4 weeks.
It was impossible to do the same in the US unfortunately.

(and one of the reasons to still have 3 phone numbers)

last year it didnt cost me much to use my number in Germany but it was limited to sending & receiving sms .. but my brother paid alot cause he made lots of calls and also received calls from friends while there ..

But Chris told me he had to pay for incoming SMSes in the US. (even if he is in the US)
