Cool. A fair few of my family have been through there. Some of the footage of hotel foyers, shopping, etc they had were bloody crazy.
Do they still have that heavier festival over there? I saw footage of Maiden and Mastodon. Was it Desert Rock?

Wasn't really impressed by Alice in wonderland 3D. There were a couple of bits that showed off the effects but overall wouldn't have made much difference in 2D. The film itself is OK but nothing special. Judge for yourself though.

well i've heard that from many ppl .. i'm leaning towards the other movie more tho .. looks like so much fun with vikings & dragons

haven't heard of the other one. The other 3D one going here is Clash Of The Titans the remake of the 80s fantasy adventure type movie.

yeah its like a wonderland here if you are visiting .. tho it gets abit old and boring when u live here long enough ..

yeah Dubai desert Rock was amazing .. got to see lots of great bands there .. but as everything good here it had to come to an end ..they cancelled it

Yeah, I could imagine that. We had a wasted IT teacher from Dubai (originally from Sth Africa) camped with us at our 1st euro fest, Graspop 08. he was a great bloke. On the 2nd day he ran into a bunch of his students while stumbling around the campsite smashed in his underwear.
