well, sometimes hackers sell the data they collected, so that could take a while.

or maybe they just used a program that tries all kinds of numbers and see wich one will work.

It would be odd if BOTH of my cards got compromised with the random number thing. Then again there are a lot of hackers who try to break into store databases. Maybe one broke through..
