I cut it only when it starts getting in the way more than usual. Or when somebody insists upon cutting it which is what happened last May.

Yea, I dunno.

I had mine cut recently, though that was only layering, didn't get any shorter. Got a lot off in December when my mom kept bugging me about it being too long though. I didn't mind, it was getting caught in chair screws too often.
