What about it?
Here= middle of nowhere, mostly trees, one lane highways, cities that can only stay allive from money they get catching speeders at speed traps [got me twice]
New Orleans= pretty, some damaged buildings
Shreveport= lots of those ramps spaghetti-ing interstates around each other
All of the above= NO METAL SHOWS.
Well what I wanna know is... what make Louisiana special? I mean, is there anything about you really like? Cause someday I'm gonna make a big trip round America and I want to know what there all is out there. Aside from deathmatch tournaments, destruction derbys and so forth.

New Orleans? Jazz, good food [in some people's opinions], floods easily... that's about it as far as I know. Not really worth it really.
If you want interesting places to visit in the US... could recommend Yellowstone, Atlanta's pretty cool too [and I'm moving back on New Years'], and Florida has some nice beaches. There are plenty other places worth visiting but I'm going with where I've been so far.

so you thinking of going to wacken next year? I'm thinking of going again, but it depends more on the people I can meet there than the bands.

I'm going if I can... already know a bunch of people going, and want to meet some of the German board people at the forum camp. The lineup's definitely helping too so far, though likely I'll get annoyed at the crowd being too big for me to see all the bigger bands I want to.

More interested in other fests though like Metalcamp, Dong, and HOA. Wacken will happpen only if I can afford it after those.

Also considering Bang Your Head, Kaltenbach, Masters of Rock in Czech, Brutal Assault, Party San, and Summer Breeze... though due to a lot of those being on the same weekend, I can only manage three of the above.
