it has origins with a guy named Stu, and pid, the id being similar to the German ending ig, which is sort of an endy part to a word, like wolkig is windy. thus pid becomes pig, bringing us to the legend of Stu eating a pig and it went down the wrong way, he choked and died, and they called him a stupid.
