I've got quite used to operating on little sleep. It does catch up with you if you try to do it a few days in a row though.

Aren't bands that call themselves 'brutal death' the ones that are really technical and as fast as possible? That said, I really like Psycroptic. I'm not sure, that's just the impression I get from a lot of bands' press releases.

Psycroptic is more technical than some of the brutal death metal bands, that is what makes psycroptic more interesting than most brutal death metal bands.
