I hear stories about people going on "shopping" holidays. Sometimes I wonder if they're bringing their kids along just so they can take extra stuff home.

Last year was too hot, even for me. I remember one day thinking "I've already had 3L of water today and the sun is still up. IT'S NOT GOOD TO DRINK TOO MUCH WATER, BETTER DRINK SOME BEER." I was still parched the next morning.

Yeah, I am a stupid tourist indeed.

Last year I .. unfortunately.. packed a Suitcase.......... that.. sucked.. So this year is the camping backpack, and Ikea bags for the flight to hold em.

I've found a couple in my time that act as both a suitcase and a backpack. It's great! Handles, wheels and back straps all in one.

I fly out tomorrow night. The idea that I'm heading over feels very weird for me right now. There's a sense of "didn't I just go there not so long ago" and also "I definitely haven't been planning this trip for eight months, it was all a dream" at the same time.
