It's a loan I have to pay during the next 15 years.
And I get some other money as well but yeah. Have to figure out closer to summer what to do then.

Sounds pretty similar to our system than.
But back in the days when I studied we got money as a gift, and you could loan extra money if you needed it.
Because I lived with my parents I only got ~80 euro a month. but at least it was better than nothing.
Over here you also get a pass for public transport, which is pretty nice.

)I used that card from top to bottem. Every single inch o the country has been done by me by train! (and sometimes by bus as well)
And now I do the same here. For free again.

Fortunately that gave me 40% discount in weekends too.
The bad part was that I had to travel to school 1.5 hours every day, and that's just a single trip
