I found out today that both of my paternal great-grandmothers shared a surname! I was assured that the name is common (e.g. Smith or Jones in England) and that the two of them weren't related

I've seen old pictures of both of them and they looked absolutely nothing alike, so there's a start

Once upon a time I was in Afghanistan, they told me to go and find a guy called Abdul Mohammed, who had brown eyes and black hair. And I just gave them the paperwork back. It's not possible.
