Shit doesn't happen; some arse hole makes it happen My choice to start so early, my choice to come back on a Sunday, I did this to myself I have to admit, I was somewhat confused as to why my phone was going off in the dark, and why I was sleeping in my own bed Ah, the good ol' post-holiday "blues".

I know that feeling, though with the difference that I stay within my own time zone. I'm not so fond of changing hours. :/

Fermentation : 4-5 days
2nd Fermentation : 10-15 days (the more we wait, better the results.)
and 2 weeks after bottling...

So do I, compared with the US, that is.
But since I've never been in Australia yet, it's a bit hard to compare AUS with Europe.
And my fear of flying won't make things easier either!

Maybe like Guinness/Beamish. I will not be able to taste it until 1 month.

We used Roasted, Chocolate, Black malt, standard malt and Oats.

The roasted and chocolate malt tasted so good! Coffee and hint of black chocolate.

I like oatflakes, and so probably also oatmeal.

I can very well imagine a fine beer made out of them.

It could be somehow sweet, but not that kind of sweet which delivers pure malt beer.

i thought that "tasting somehow like guiness" was implied in "stout".


Any ideas about details? Maltiness, Sweetness? How bitter?
