After my first listening to music being Subway to Sally and the Offspring during a vacation, my brother first introduced me into Nightwish and other kind of operametal, because we used to sing Phantom of the Opera together a lot. I got my friends into it and they brought me to a medieval festival where I got to know the drummer of that band... (he was 35 too, I was 16 :p ). I went to Wacken to be with him before he'd end the tour and go back home. There we watched Motörhead together, it just blew me away! Half a year later I visited him at his place and listened through a few of his CDs. That really brought me into a few old school bands.
