just look for a "how to" website, they usually have to most common things writen out, just follow the steps and it should work.

Yea that works for some things, but not all. :p Already spent awhile today trying to figure out how to boot Linux from a USB drive, and Wikihow didn't help. Google showed up plenty but none worked. Eventually Nidan was able to help me though and he found a program that did it.

Now I'm trying to get my wireless connection to work with the Linux, right now I'm using a cable. It doesn't seem to recognize that I have a wireless card, which apparently happens with certain Windows XP devices, and I need to get a driver or something for it to work. Again, plenty of info on the internet about it. Just I guess people have all sorts of different computers, different situations etc, that one size doesn't fit all.

Well loads of Linux versions work on USB, that's how I'm on it atm. :p

But I want to install it and make it permanent, I really like it. Only problem is, I can't yet figure out how to make the wireless work. And I'm not going to write over Windows when I don't even know if it'll work yet. :p
