my guess is it's nobody as big as maiden or Priest, not this late into the ticket sales, if it was a band like those they would have announced it much earlier to sell out quickly, well just my opinion.

wacken has already such projection that they don't need to rush announcement to sell out tickets. my ticket is the number 60 thousand and something bought 2 weeks ago... so it's very close to be sold out again. i think no matter what wacken will always have a big billing board that's why i trust in these guys. i'm not expecting all my favorite bands but just some... i'm used to it already ;)

True, but if you look back at 2008, Maiden was announced very early, it really accelerated the ticket sales. And withy the festival being almost sold out, they have no need to add a huge band to the billing, that's why i think maybe someone like Mercyful Fate. The night to remember is usually an older band, like Running Wild, Scorpions, Accept, Maiden, Twisted Sisiter...
