y = 2f(2x-4)-3
Well... actually I'm skipping the graphing part because that involves another equation, which according to the review sheet, is found in the book. Which I don't have. So I'm just going to describe what happens to graph y=f(x).![]()


y = x^2+4x-5
banish the -5
y = x^2+4x..............-5
factor
(x+2)(x+2)
multiplies back out to x^2+4x+4... so the 4 is extra...
(x+2)^2-5-4 to take out that 4
(x+2)^2 -9
