150K Before WOA 2010

well it's your age, in some ways it gives you a late start, being my age I've had many years to build my collection.

for sure, though I've been known to buy 2, 3,4 or 5 at a time, Or say at the WOA Metal Market 10 or more.

I think I only got one there However I could have easily picked up another hundred or more.

the most important thing is not to get stuck in a period "like the 80's" or whatever .. and be open to all new stuff & new styles ... not all old metal is good .. and not all new is bad

exactly! I even like a very small amount of metalcore. Just 2 or 3 bands that I feel really have something good to offer, though most of it I don't care for.

MP3s and digital downloading makes it harder to find music on physical media. Many CD shops have closed and the ones that remain have much smaller selections.

Doesn't mean downloading is an entirely bad thing though. I usually have to resort to ordering them online anyway.

yep i have did lots of downloading when i was back in Syria .. cause it was the only way to get music .. and still its hard to find good stuff here in Dubai .. so now i order online .. but still do some downloading

Dollar doesn't really have a lot to do with it, I think Maybe it makes it harder to buy once we're overseas, but not while we're still here buying at US stores.

well it's the way for most people to obtain music now. For me I won't buy my music that way.

I will... sometimes it's just easier, for example Bergthron's two song CDs. But I prefer getting the album when possible.
