I tried driving once here in Edinburgh, it's not really my thing. I feel like every second I'm in control of a car brings me closer to a horrific death.

Try driving in New York City. Not only do people suck at driving there, but people will walk into the street and gah.. gives me nightmares just thinking about that experience.

well being in cars in general. Let us assume car accidents happen at rate lambda, so we have a poisson distribution, hence the probability of a car accident happening increases exponentially as you drive.
