Well from 83-85 they were untouchable, then... Though Slayer were also very much kicking ass back then. And there was no Death or Black Metal yet. Maiden was also kicking ass.

my condolence for the father
Yeah, he is one of my oldest and best friends. His father was 87. He was really into Metal years ago (not his father) But he did not follow it much into the later 80s and beyond. He mainly likes the old stuff.

well yeah but there were other bands that I think are better... probably not as big thouhg.. but better...
we really encourage my daughter to do well so she can get a scholarship later. She usually gets VERY good grades.
Well I guess I am kinda biased since Kill EM All is one of my top 10 albums of all time and Master of Puppets really is a masterpiece. But I do agree, there was a lot of other good Metal around that time as well. Like I mentioned, Maiden and Mercyful Fate was great back then.
