who should replace Iced Earth, if they cancel their Wacken-Gig?

My opinion: NIGHTWISH

Nightwish won't come this year
The WOA-crew is doing what they can to bring them next year.

Nightwish is one of my favourites though.

I hope Matt leaves after WOA, I mean, on their tourpage they have only Wacken Open Air..

And it would be respectful to finish at the world's greatest metal festival

There's no band in the world that can replace Iced Earth. The only worthy substitutes I can imagine are Manowar and Dimmu Borgir. A smaller, but also great band is After Forever

Dimmu Borgir would be great, Manowar isn't possible, because the Wacken-Crew would have to raise the prices to 100 €! I think that isn't worth the price.

I think it's a matter of taste... I personally prefer Melodic Death or Black Metal.
