I took Friday off so I was in the same boat, but then it was "oh hey, remember that meeting we told you about which will take up your entire morning? Yeah, that's today and we're leaving to go to it in 5 minutes. We have a spare seat if you need one." After that I had to scoff lunch while I figured out how to get to my next meeting and quickly get other stuff done. Luckily I left early because they closed the motorway (I think there was a bad accident or two), but somehow I found my way there without a map. Surely that deserves a medal?
