Here may day is one of the biggest celebrations... Everybody gets drunk and the parks are filled with drunken people.
I think our most drunk public holiday would have to be Australia Day.We used to have a holiday in May, but the state government came to their senses and moved it to October (as a few states have been doing for a long time). It now means I don't have to wait between the Brisbane Exhibition Holiday in August and Christmas to have a public holidayI think our most drunk public holiday would have to be Australia Day.

That's a pity.I'm fortunately not working, so me and my friend will be going to a bar.

Over here we do that at Kings day. Which i don't like. (The celebration of the king that is)

Flights are booked!
So excited!!!
Due to flight prices im flying to and from Bremen, Any recommendations of what to go do/see/eat/drink while there. Will be stopping in Hamburg over night before we fly home too, so any suggestions would be appreciated![]()
And the other sights you can read about here :http://www.bremen-tourism.de/must-see-attractions-in-bremen-1Oh, that's good. We have quite a few public holidays. Easter, christmas, may day, independence day, loppiainen (6th of january), mid summer or whatever.
But here they're thinking of moving all of those to weekends. It'd suck big time.
The only time we'd get a public holiday on the weekend is if ANZAC Day falls on a Saturday (which it did this year). I'd prefer if we got an extra day for it, since most places were shut on the Saturday.
