I'd actually love to live in amsterdam!
but since it's quite a hassle to find something cheap, and good, over there I just stick with almere, which is just outside of amsterdam. though within a few years this city will be totally connected with amsterdam
They want to make it a "dubbel city" by 2030.

I had a GF in Amsterdam before. She lives/d in Amsterdam Noord.
Just a "volkswijk" (don't know the English translation) and even then people didn't look after each other anymore.
Plus the fact I had to cross the ferry if the IJ-Tunnel was closed. (I'm not so fond of (open) water)

Very cool city. I was there 2 days. Really like the laid back atmosphere and I don't mean the coffee shops either.

Well, I"m probably the only one who's not so fond of Amsterdam. So be it.

I largely prefer Utrecht then.
