yeah it was solved after about 10 minutes. but due to how the internet works, basically a gazillion little islands that connect via interconnect, and these kind of internet exchanges people could still have an impact of about an hour. this has to do with all kinds of network protocols trying to find new routes and stuff.

I'm not into the technics of Internet, I'm already glad it works!

But somehow I can get the big picture. And the havoc it brings to people who depend on said internet.

yeah, you wouldn't believe the kind of things that go over the internet nowadays... like payment stuff, ATM's, debit/creditcard payments. Alarm systems. you name it, it uses the internet nowadays.
