Roaming charges are excessive in Europe. Even when you use a EU phone number, you'll pay too much for roaming! A booklet will prevent this.

And secondly, not all countries have an excellent coverage for cell phones. Belgium is not completely covered for instance. I know NL is pretty OK, and trains have wifi, though some sites are blocked.

I'm bringing my phone, there's no way I'm not. They also have this thing called a contact list which works regardless of cell service.

Hoho! I'm talking about the trains in the Netherlands. In Belgium, we're dreaming about it. I can't tell you if you have wifi on German IC/ICE s. And as far as I know, French TGV s have it too.

Access should be open for everyone. Thalys has wifi too, but it is charged. And last time I checked Eurostar, no wifi.

O ja, the Dutch are installing it now. On intercity only!

Bah, had quite the rotten day at work today. Too much to do, then the whole building's network basically crashed and it was at least an hour before I could even access my emails...not that I could do much with them

I think I'll have to start work early tomorrow to get it all out of the way before the afternoon stuff comes in...

Seriously.... had a client today who went bitching to my boss, because I left the office for lunch 1 minute early! I only have half an hour to run to the cantine and gorge down whatever I can, before running back down again. That guy should seriously ask himself, when I come back 5 minutes early, will he wait in front of the office until my working time officially begins or will he push himself through the door right behind me, being all "I'm gonna be real quick...". Same if he had actually met me here 1 minute before I closed, whatever he wanted from me would have taken at least 2 minutes into my break. Do I get to bitch about the client then? People are so fucking self-centered nowadays.
