Yeah it was a great spot, but back than you could come to wacken on sunday already, and people didn't realise it and would come on wednesday.
So basically we were just camping there with about 200 people drinking beer.

and because of that we would always end up all the way up front.

Back in country (US)... back to work.. (sigh)....
That was an amazing experience.. I am thinking of writing a long ass "To Americans thinking of going to Wacken".. as there was so many.. small (but add up) things socially from an american point of view that some should be prepared for.... You thoughts? Worth writing? or.. bah.. the right kind of people will figure it out anyways..
But.. I wanted to also thank each and every person I met on the Holy Ground.. Never.. ever in my life have I met so many wonderful cool people all in one place....

Little example..
Americans.. drink craploads of soda... in big ass cups.. will lots of free refills and lots of ice... that is just.. normal.. and cheap...
That is one that really stuck out as a little thing, that was really.. just different. Luckily, I am not a soda fiend like that.. but I will be honest.. the moment I got back... lol.. I went to the nearest convenience store.. and filled a 64 oz (1.86 L) cup with lots of ice.. and a full to the brim Mountain Dew.. and slamed it.. lol
Americans also.. suck waiting in line(s) and do not know how to properly que up on things.. as a whole..

Well even if they drink a shit load of soda they should survive not having it for a week, it shouldn't hurt them so much that they should have known before the trip lol
I don't know if it is an american thing to suck waiting in line, I think this is just a matter of how patient you are. If someone plans to go to Wacken, or do anything with a lot people involved really, they should have enough logic to know that they will wait in line at some point, or just wait for something period.
If you really think it would be really helpful for some people then write a text, but as a North American myself I think with a little common sense and research you can figure the whole thing out

2014 (25th)... I think it was 1 or 2 days. I remembered people getting angry because by the time the got home after the festival, it was already sold-out, lol
And on that year, I got a christmas ticket... go figure...
