Got my Wacken 2018 ticket just now.

Very curious that my ticket number is 8XXX but I wasn't able to score an X-Mas ticket (first 10,000 I believe?).

Also, there's a card attached to the back of the ticket. Anyone know if this is for cashless transaction or something else?

NO!!! And DON'T LOOSE IT!!!
You'll need it to enter the festival! The (paper) ticket is "worthless" but the plastic card enables you to enter the festival. (but I'd recommend taking both with you!)
If the cashless system will be added to your card, will be determinated later. But that won't probably be for next year's edition.

I think my tickets are in the 7xxx range.

Normal 00001-65000.

I'm stil wondering if the cashless pay stuff is integrated in the card though.
Would be kinda weird to have two creditcard sized cards in my opinion.

Looks like the summer has ended, yesterday it was almost 30 degrees, today it'll be around 18 degrees and it'll rain most of the day.
