Yeah but it sounds different anyway, I think. Might be partly because I think Matt hasn't really had much singing lesson kind of things before he messed up his throat, which was at some point before Silence in the Snow.

Yes Trivium really evolved/changed in between Ember to inferno/Ascendency to Silence in the snow. From In waves I noticed it started to change musically, there was more clean parts/songs in my opinion then the previous albums. Growling became less and less existent in Vengeance Falls, and non existent in Silence in the snow.

Well I don't think it will ever come back to growling like they were doing before, unless Corey Beaulieu growls all the time while playing guitar

Yes he was doing a lot of growling, I just don't get why he also stopped on the last cd....

He indeed improved a lot, its kind of the usual situation where the band was young and angry, growling/screaming all the time until the singer can't do it anymore so they become more "soft" with the singer taking some singing class/lessons

I think I heard something like when they were making the songs, the growling just didn't fit anywhere.
