Oh, the Japanese are very open for foreigners! As long as they are leaving, and they spend money! But you will find difficulties integrating in the country! You will always be considered a "stranger".
I watched a show once, called "Grenzeloze Liefde" (VRT) and there was a man there, who married a Japanese, and he said the very same thing. Even his wife was looked upon for marrying a foreigner.
