Would the old currency be worth something one day?

I must have ƒ50 (Dutch guilders) somewhere, which I can change to €22.34 at the Dutch National Bank (De Nederlansche Bank), but the one ƒ1 that I have here is as a currency, maybe a collector might pay you €0.40 for it. Nothing more.

I tried to sell special €2 coins, but wouldn't go under €2 as a sale. No interest.

I might as well spend it, apart from one coin, that I'd like to keep for myself.

I even have an old BEF 50 note! (fifty Belgian Francs) The series from 16-05-1966. I wonder how much it'd be worth today, apart from the 50BEF/40.3399. (€1.25 roughly)

Might be worth something in a thousand years though

I think I will sell my excess Euros from my trip. I grossly overestimated how expensive Germany was going to be and now I have money stuck in a currency which I'll get to use one a year (if even that). Now seems to be the best time to exchange it back to SGD effectively without losing any money. :D
