People can whinge and complain all they like, but really it's not disturbing their daily plans or anything :D It does annoy me when people say "I prefer hotel festivals to camping", because I ask if they've ever even done a camping festival and the answer is always "no". :o There are perks to hotel festivals, but I prefer feeling safe when I get completely wasted and decide to go to bed :o

Yeah and I also think camping is part of the experience. I wouldn't want to spend my night trying to get to the hotel. Also can't really go there middle of the day to get something or just go and rest...

Of course at some festivals it's bit different, if they have a loooooot of people going. Like Tomorrowland seems to be quite big and I assume there is also more crimes...

For sure. Like at MDF, I didn't want to walk around the streets of Baltimore in the middle of the night all by myself, even if my hotel was only a few hundred metres from the indoor venues (which were open later than the outdoor ones, so I was able to walk there with a big group). I got ripped off so many times by cab drivers. I wanted to keep my wits about me so I never got drunk there. The not metal people of Baltimore weren't necessarily the friendliest bunch either :o
