Thank you, in this case I think I know where it was last year. There is unnamed camping -like area in this part of the map. I'm a bit surprised there was a shuttle for such a short distance.

The route is longer than you think. Because production lines also run through there, you'd have to go around the woods near Residence Evil. There was/is a shortcut there, but you'd still have to go via Plaza, Bullhead, and Infield to get to the Pit/WU.

The Pit shuttle goes through the backstage area to the Pit event area, because you are not allowed to "walk" there.
