Kataklysm is a great Death Metal band from Canada !! You should give them a try... Maybe you can look for
Epic: The Poetry of War or Shadows & Dust, because they are their most recent and polished albums to date

kataklysm, the reiter and nile are the best bands so far.. last year was great but coudlve used some brutality. some bands id really love to see this year are..

origin - the most fucking brutal insane shit ever. Anyone who likes brutality should look into this band...
cephalic carnage - really crazy heavy grindcore, maybe someone's heard of them..
naglfar - everyone hates this band or soemthing, but fuck all that, diabolical is a really great album...

i wouldnt mind seeing manowar either, or (ha!)a suffocation reunion... but the bands so far are not too shabby.. not at all

Naglfar would be fucking excellent, though I think they played at Wacken 2001 (did they?). Both their albums kick ass, and are mandatory for any metal collection.

Origin are a really damn good death metal band, but chances of them having enough songs to fill any slot over an hour are 0

Suffocation were/are overrated. Ther's much better.

And I woudln't midn seeing Krisiun again. Their studio stuff is pretty boring, but they are a good live band

Fuck yes! Have both albums, and they kick ass. Darkness were excellent for that style too.

I concur on both counts. Saw Suffo live in '96 and thought they were dull. Only the pit was memorable. But THAT it certainly was.

Krisiun's great live...shit, they were opening for nearly every death/black/extreme metal tour here between '98 and 2001. or at least it seemed. Great guys too.
