I'm a bit disappointed with this surprise (?) .
Kotipelto sucks, and I'd have been quite happy if Sabbat had been the band of Martin W., ex-Skyclad singer, not the japanese band (I don't know them, maybe they rule). And Unleashed....I haven't heard anything of them since 1997, but they used to rule.
Anyway, the billing is OK, Wacken will be once again the best summer festival on Earth, and it's not too late to add some new bands (someone mentioned Voivod anywhere, that would rule!)

Regarding Sabbat, from what I have hear Return To The Sabbat suck big time, not really comparing with the original version.

I've just read in the BNR Metal Pages that Sabbat (the japanese band) started recording albums in 1985, at least they have a long experience in death metal. And it should be cool to see some japaneses playing death metal, I can't imagine.

It's going to be a multicultural WACKEN!! Bands from Spain, France, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Turkey, England, USA, Finland, Chile, Brazil..... I only miss any African representation..... I once heard one really cool band from South Africa, but I can't remember their name.
And well, Zombi, that's a pretty good point of view, it was a surprise as nobody expected those groups.
Vanden Plas has also been added to the billing, but they are not included in the surprise, maybe they were expected.

Sabbat are black metal, and have always been associated with the black metal scene, more than death metal.
